Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is she is a Mexican American journalist. She works as an ESPN anchor of news and hosts SportsNation sometimes. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since age nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first post as a production assistant at Univision Miami, where she was a producer of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. They hired her as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009 she moved from Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Covering stories relating to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking along the Texas as well as the Mexico border, she worked as a news reporter for both the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision and Fox2 News. It was during a break in summer that she spent together with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. It was an amazing campus. They also offered her the degree she wanted. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University with a degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a member. They formed a strong connection. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she strived to exceed the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
