Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana, on April 151976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. For secondary educationWard attended Ouachita Parish High Schoolbut then relocated in River Oaks High School on the last day of her junior year. She was part of the dance and drill team. Following her graduation she briefly attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward started modeling at the age of thirteen. She left school to move into New York. A few years afterward she decided to take up acting.
